Installation
BLEND can be installed at AlumiTank, at your facility with our crew on-site, or by a certified service center your fleet already uses. Every path produces the same result — a fully commissioned system, fully trained operators, and a 2-year warranty backing all of it.
Install at a Glance
BLEND was engineered with installation as a first-class design constraint. Templates are included. Drill bits and torque values are documented. Air lines are color-coded to their fittings. The five sub-kits each cover a discrete phase of the install so the work sequences cleanly from start to finish — typically 6–8 hours of technician labor per trailer, or 2–3 days of calendar time when AlumiTank is on-site running a batch install.
Watch the Install
A complete installation captured end-to-end — from kit unboxing through system commissioning. This is the same procedure your fleet's techs, an AlumiTank crew, or a certified service center follows on every trailer.
The Five Kits
Each BLEND order ships as five sub-kits. Every kit includes templates, hardware, and documentation that ties it to the next phase of the install. Open the kits in order, work the sequence, and the system comes together — typically 6–8 hours of technician labor per trailer.
The upper holding tank and lower propulsion tank as a pre-assembled unit, with the layout template and mounting hardware. Sets the spatial reference for the rest of the install — once it's mounted, every other kit positions relative to it.
Two slotted vertical brackets and four diagonal braces that span the trailer to stabilize the tank assembly across both frame rails. Plumb the tank assembly first, then secure the bracing — this locks the unit against road vibration over the life of the trailer.
Stainless steel crossover tube routes product from the tank assembly across the trailer to the dispensing side. Trimmed to fit, fitted with compression connections, and secured to the bottom of the frame rails with p-clamps.
The driver-facing control panel. Houses the air switch, product valve, and indicator light. Mounts directly under the hose tray near the dispensing port so all operator interactions during a delivery happen within arm's reach.
The connection layer that ties the system together. Color-coded air lines route from the propulsion tank to the operator's console and dispensing point. Weatherproof electrical cable terminates at the trailer's existing electrical box. The injection coupler stows in its protective case at the front passenger side of the hose bed.
Typical Install Week
When AlumiTank's three-person crew is on-site, a typical install week sequences across four days. Crew arrives Tuesday for assessment, runs Wednesday and Thursday for the install proper, and finishes loose ends Friday morning. Hours are adjustable if the schedule calls for it.
AlumiTank crew arrives before noon. Meets with your team, walks the trailers slated for install, confirms tools and product readiness, and locks the install plan for the week.
7 AM to 5 PM hands-on installation. Tank assemblies and bracing on the first batch of trailers. Driver-side frame rail templates, drilling, mounting, and torque checks.
Crossover, operator's console, air and electrical, and injection coupler integration. System pressure testing with soapy water, electrical commissioning, and operator console checks.
Final system tests, driver hands-on training during commissioning, tool load-out, and AlumiTank on the road by 11 AM. Your trailers are ready to run.
Pre-Install Prep
BLEND installs cleanly on a typical bulk fuel trailer with no major modifications. Most fleets need only minor housekeeping before install day: clearing the install location of removable items, confirming air supply, and ensuring electrical access at the existing termination box.
The tank assembly mounts aft of the landing gear on the driver side, with the bracing kit on the opposite frame rail. Some fleets need to relocate placard brackets or other removable items from the install zone — that work is straightforward and we identify it during the fleet analysis.
If your trailers are unusual — non-standard frame configurations, unique discharge piping, or tight clearances — flag those early in the fleet analysis. We'll factor them into the install plan rather than discovering them on the trailer.
Use Your Existing Service Network
BLEND can be installed and serviced by the bulk fuel trailer service centers your fleet already trusts. We certify qualified centers on the full installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty support process — so your trailers don't have to leave their normal service network.
Your fleet already has service centers you've vetted, trained your drivers around, and built into your maintenance schedule. The Service Center Certification Program means BLEND fits into that existing network rather than working against it.
Certification includes hands-on installation training, commissioning procedure, troubleshooting and diagnostic protocols, parts inventory guidance, and warranty support authority. Once a center is certified, they can install BLEND, perform ongoing maintenance, and handle warranty claims directly with AlumiTank backing.
For multi-region fleets, this removes the geographic constraint that kills most hardware retrofit programs: you don't have to send your trailers anywhere new. Your existing service partners do the work. We certify them. We back the warranty. The fleet keeps running.
For trailer OEMs, certification can also extend to factory installation as a build option — talk to us about integrating BLEND into your spec sheet.
Have a preferred service center? Tell us who you'd want trained, and we'll work with them on certification as part of your rollout planning. Trailer OEMs: let's talk about factory integration.
Nominate a Service CenterWarranty & Ongoing Support
Every BLEND system ships with a 2-year warranty covering the system, pneumatics, pump, and controls. Beyond the warranty period, AlumiTank maintains parts inventory, technical documentation, and direct phone support for the life of the system.
Covers the BLEND system, pneumatic components, pump, and controls. Begins from the date of system commissioning, not date of purchase.
AlumiTank maintains parts inventory for every BLEND component. Most replacement parts ship same-day or next-day to keep your trailers running.
Same line you've called AlumiTank on for years. Direct access to engineering for installers, technicians, and fleet maintenance teams.
Full installation manual, operational guide, and system schematics provided with every order. Updated documentation distributed to certified service centers as the system evolves.
Warranty excludes collision damage and unauthorized modification. Full warranty terms ship with every order and are reviewed during installation commissioning.
Whether you need an AlumiTank crew on-site, want to certify a preferred service center, or are a trailer OEM exploring factory integration — start with a fleet analysis. We'll work from your actual configuration to recommend the right install path. No sales pressure, no commitment.
